For this task, you are going to be concentrating on Anna, Tom's mother, and the grandmother of the three children.
You must identify at least 2 things that could be done for Anna, either in her own community, or in the wider society, to make life easier and to keep her involved in things.
You may consider things like ...
- Creating local support groups or networks.
- Campaigning for improved local services to cater for the needs of people with mobility difficulties.
- Campaigning or fundraising for the provision of resources such as enabling equipment (electric tin openers, easy access baths, etc, etc.)
- Lobbying government for further research.
- Lobbying government for changes to legislation if that was appropriate.
- Organisation of awareness raising campaigns.
